This is the only app that will allow you to make free outgoing calls without already having a working line

Its a good app (especially with the addition of "Answer on lock screen") but can the below suggestions (in order of priority) be added to make it more functional: 1) Block spam voicemails. The GV app blocks spam calls and voicemails but the hangouts app only blocks spam calls. It still lets the spam voicemails through! 2) Fix continued ringing after the other party has answered the call. Calls between GV numbers sometimes keep on ringing after the other party has answered which makes it impossible to hear them clearly! 3) Use labels for phone numbers from contact list. Currently it prioritizes numbers labeled as "mobile" and changes all other labels to "other" even if the contact list has labels like "work mobile" or "GV" which makes it very confusing when starting or responding to messages. 4) Move the option for listening to call audio on loudspeaker from a submenu to the main screen like the default iOS Phone app. 5) Add ability to search content of Hangouts messages, GV SMS/MMS messages, and GV voicemails. Functionality is in Gmail but please add to Hangouts app. 6) Make an Apple Watch app to answer/place calls and view/send messages. 7) Organize messages from the same contact on to the same thread regardless of whether its from their different phone numbers or Hangouts profiles. The messages would then show up on one thread in time order. 8) Add ability to send and receive videos. 9) Add ability to reorganize favorites list. Also allow Hangouts to remember the favorites that are selected after logging out or updating the app.

This is simply good, link with google no. Help me to get rid of other apps!! Thanks

Hangout is a great free instant messenger program that I use to supplement my text messenger program for my iPhone.

U can txt with people have good emojis and well u send pictures and well the app works good in my IPhone 6S plus I have no problems with it u can have as many email accounts open in hangouts ?

I like this app a lot it helps me talk to people more when Im out of minutes on my iPhone

Our HOA board of directors uses Hangouts to stay in tight communications on all the aspects of the HOA we oversee. Its been a life saver and helps us all stayed on top of everything we need to know. Its fast and effective. And, we have an archived record of all of our conversations.

This is the alpha and omega for communicating with friends and peers outside of texting and FaceTime.

The app is getting better and better over the last versions. I like the fact that you share your screen; at least in the Desktop version. But the audio is terrible. Sometimes you cannot understand what the person says. Overall, I am sure that google will fix this problem soon and add more features. Thank you.

I love Hangouts, it allows me to chat in real time with my friends. Also share photos and file! Its great!

My family and I have used hangouts (for IM, not audio or video) for a long time. I like that we can use it from iOS, Android, Mac, and PC. However, although the iOS and Android apps are good, the experience on Mac and PC is poor. They try to do an odd hybrid of browser extension and application/OS integration that might make things easier for the dev team, but leaves a lot to be desired from an end user perspective. For example, if my browser isnt running I get no notification at all, but if it is I get two notifications for every message. One comes from the Hangouts tab, and another from the gmail tab. I wish theyd ditch the browser and just make native Hangouts apps for Mac and Windows.
