Heavy, long startup/activation, buggy notifications.

Great for group chats and phone calls

Works great. Still needs a bit more bells and whistles.

The voice/video call buttons should be the easiest to one and use. In Google Hangouts case, you have to click 3 times before you are able to find the button. I am not sure why the call button is hidden by default if it is an app to talk in the first place. No way to conference calls to regular phone numbers.

THIS APP IS TERRIBLE. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE OF MY FRIENDS. 1.IT IS VERY SLOW. Extremely SLOW!!! And it freezes often!!! 2.WHEN YOU TRY TO FIND A CONTACT ON YOUR IPHONE, IT INSTEAD PRESENTS YOU WITH RANDOM GOOGLE+ PEOPLE THAT I DONT KNOW OR THAT I DONT CARE TO KNOW. I WISH THERE WERE AN OPTION TO DISABLE THAT. 3.IT DOESNT KEEP HISTORY OF MISSED CALLS, TEXTS, PLACED CALLS, RECEIVED CALLS AS GOOGLE VOICE DOES. 4. IT DOESNT GIVES OPTION TO ADD NEW NUMBERS THAT JUST CALLED YOU AS NEW CONTACTS. 5. IT CONSTANTLY FREEZES. 6. DOESNT GIVES OPTION TO RECORD CALLS 7. I WISH GOOGLE VOICE WERE IMPROVED TO SEND AND RECEIVE PICS AND VIDS. GOOGLE HANGOUTS IS WAY, WAY WORST THAN GOOGLE VOICE IS. THEREFORE IM OPTING OUT OF IT.

Since I have an iPod I couldnt text my friends that didnt have iPhones so I got hangouts and now I can! I recommend Hangouts. ?????

You guys fix one thing and break 2 other fkn things! How is it possible that a messaging app doesnt receive messaging alerts since last update? Get it together guys.

Does what it needs primarily, although a large portion of the time I miss messages because it doesnt notify correctly.

Hangouts is a great app. Its easy to use and works cross platform. Its nice to have one app and see SMS, hangouts, and transcribed voicemails.

Instructions for use are confusing to nonexistent. No simple way to delete a sent text. Doesnt tell you that a text is delivered. Im just not happy with it.

I really enjoy using this app....but there are some flaws. The video chat is REALLY blurry for me and my friends. The pic on the example is unrealistic. Other than that, the app is great with fun stickers and cool moving emojis. Actually, one more thing I would change is the instant pictures. Right when you take a pic, it sends. You cant fix it. You cant even take a new pic. You might send an embarrassing pic of ur self accidentally. Please fix!

Beware who you talk to. Ive found out the hard way that this is somewhat a hook up app that some are looking for. They start out good then start asking for money. They set up different accounts even as a child. Very picky now! From learned the hard way.
