Hangouts App Reviews

We use hangouts for our agency’s day-to-day group chats in a water cooler setting. But when we launch group hangouts, we still have trouble with some connections lagging or freezing up. Would love to be able to make the Hangouts link in a calendar more prominent so it’s easier to find when sending out meeting invites.

My kids, husband, and I are not on the same platform but can still send messages. My youngest have it on their tablets and my husband and older kids have it on their android phones, I use it on my Apple products. We haven’t had any trouble. It’s nice to share photos or messages with them all at once without the younger ones being contacted by anyone they don’t know. Our next step will to set up the aunts, uncles, grandparents, and Godparents in groups as well so the little guys can contact them also. Great product!

Pretty little Asian...

My mom, Grandma, Aunt, sister, Dad, and I love to chat on it! They have awesome emotes, a picture tab, and lots of writing options to choose from! One minor element though, security. My sister was texting my dad one day and she found a person called “Shakira” on our page, and we didn’t download her!!!! #SUPERcreepy!!!!!!! Anyway, other than security, the app is awesome! Love all the features. The phone calls and FaceTime are good quality most of the time.. can be glitchy... but awesome app! Good Job to whoever created the idea. I still give you my five-star rating. P.S. Please, please, PLEASE work on security! That random person is still giving me the creeps!

Sure, rate nag pop up, I’ll write a review after I’ve already set my phone to opt out of rate nags. Immediate 1 star for not respecting my choice.

I love this app, and since my phone hasn’t yet been activated I can’t message anything but an iPhone, I have a way to text my friends. But I do have a couple of recommendations. 1.) You should be able to delete certain messages instead of having to delete the entire conversation. 2.) Also you should be able to rename the person whatever you want Other wise I love this app!

If you think App writers to the personal requests of inter school dropouts, they need to get off the dope and go back to school. Your caveman personality leaks through.

YouTube links are broken, they open in Safari now and or Chrome. I only still use this because I got my family on it a long time ago. Hopefully google just kills this completely so it can finally go away

My contact names disappeared for my SMS messages? Why?

I really like this app, it works really well when I talk to people. I don’t know if this is just me, but it seems like I can’t go all the way back up my history (it stops at a random date we didn’t make the group chat in) in a group chat with me & two other people. Please fix this, otherwise great app!

Hangouts is a awesome app, and if you haven’t downloaded it, I strongly recommend it. But there is one thing that needs some work. In Messages, there is a tab where you can send emotions with apps you have. But Hangouts can’t do that, so please, please add that in. That way I can send some new emotions to my friends that they have never seen before!

When I receive Google Voice calls via Hangouts Audio, most of them do not connect. After answering, the app just hangs there waiting for a connection which never happens. In the end, I get a missed call and/or Voicemail without ever being able to answer the call.

Very useful and easy to use, Id recommend this app to anyone
