It is a great alternative way to communicate to and for people who dont have FaceTime, plus you have the option to text as well.

A new problem after an update: Recipients of calls made or received via my Google Voice number hear a bad echo when they speak to me. I do not hear any echo when Im talking to them. I think the problem is also when Im using my iPad Min 2. No problem when Im using my iPhone 6S Plus.

Hangout does not answer call now.

I dont receive notifications for the chats Im in. When Ill have notifications it wont show it, and sometimes the messages wont appear on the lock screen or in my notification box when I swipe down. Please fix it.

Hangouts is not a finished product. The chatting is polished, functional, and arguably superior to most other apps similar to it. The streamlined UI is nominally sensible, though it may take a bit of adjustment. However. The video calls? Utterly worthless. When chatting, the video feed cut out and reverted to audio only several times. It was like being trapped on an airplane that was in constant turbulence. I havent experimented fully with the other features, but I assume that theyre partially functional. But the calls still make me want to be stab something, but it seems that the airline knife wasnt up to the task.

Normally this is a 5 star app, but the latest update requires long pauses to load, load pauses to type when texting, and image uploading fails most times. So to post an image you have to do it form directly in the camera roll and send, then go back to hangouts. This update is bad, but prior to that awesome app when used with Google voice service. SMS texting

Pinch to zoom is back but still no Apple Watch. Use this app on a daily basis. The addition of Apple Watch notifications would be greatly appreciated.

I like Gchat for couple of things that cant be achieved in fb messanger or others. It has great video sharing features. But I hate the quality. Thats why I use it less these days.

There are things that it does... But then there are things that it doesnt do.

I really enjoy using this app because you just have to use your google email but I feel like it could use some improvements to make it more unique! Maybe watching YouTube with friends though the app? Just unique stuff like that ~Stitch?

Hangouts is a quick and easy way to call, and text you friends and family. Personally it changed my life because one of my friends doesnt have a phone to he texts through an iPad and he doesnt have a phone number so we just have been texting through Hangouts.

I dont know why this is in my purchased library. Remove from my download history immediately.

..it works great on my Ipad, and gives me an easy way to compose longer text messages.

I get a constant stream of spambots reaching out to me to chat. When I click an invite in the iphone calendar that has an online meeting in hangouts, it just opens hangouts and doesnt go to the actual meeting. I honestly wish I could remove this app but there are times I need it for work related meetings.

Highly recommended, should be available offline, flexibility, user friendly improvements are welcome

Google Hangouts is an amazing app to communicate with friends and video chat. I would definitely recommend it.
