We do not get cell service here so dont have cell phone. I find this little app works great on my iPad. Just wish I could have a phone # assigned to the app so people could call me...thanks for a great app

Still no Split View support in Feb 2017, when Google already has the layout set because theres an iPhone version of Hangouts. A few months I can understand...but a delay of nearly 1.5 years for Split View is just astounding. Messaging apps really suffer for not having that basic iOS feature.

I overall, think that this app is a great one!!! I just got it, but I love how google has made an app where you can contact a friend who doesnt have iMessage because they dont have an apple product...my friend and I can still talk after school, and we love it!!! We are great friends and having a way to connect without seeing each other was hard at first...since she didnt have an apple product, but hangout lets us have that opportunity and option!!! With fun stickers and still letting us use our beloved emojis, hangouts gives us a great communicating app!!!

Its ok, I can text my friends from my school, Thats what makes this app good ☺️

I just like the way it seamlessly works between my gmail and my phone. Sadly theyll be replacing it with a garbage App called Allo.

Like it quite a lot. Sharing photos is easy, and well. Words! I can communicate with it. Wow! Unlike a lot of people I really dont give a crap what bells & whistles it doesnt have. Dont need it to make coffee for me or give me an endorphin rush.

I havent seen all the functions. But I like the ones I use.

It is nice being able to call friends while using wi-fi. I have used this for many years now.

Hi, Since Microsoft decided to kill the Skype for smart tv platforms like Samsung, it is really great opportunity for Google to bring Hangouts video chat to smart TVs. There is no alternative currently. If you search around, you will see thousands of people are asking for it. Thanks!

Great tool to use across multiple platforms and devices for work or personal. Use it all the time.

The best for the rates, but i dont like that the Outbound caller id doesnt work on the iPhone even if i always had credit. Please fix this limitation and you will have 5 stars!!

I feel like that hangouts should allow us to delete messages by holding down on the message on the iOS 10.2.1 maybe thats whats making hangouts glitch on my phone?

I think its great! I lost the use of my cell phone and had no way to communicate with some people who dont have Facebook or messenger. I discovered " hang out" and i was able to call and talk to them. Text them. It was awesome!! But the video....tends to lag and is a bit grainy. Other wise....thank you for reconnecting me to my friends and family again!!

I actually love hangouts! Its easier than skype because you allready have an account as soon as you make a gmail!

Love this app. Wish everyone would use this. Much better than messenger. iPads, phones and pcs great. Thank you!

Constantly crashing. I cant send my message. Last version was better. I tell you this app needs an update. Other than that, if you have a iPod or iPad you can text someone with their google account, which is very convenient.

The title says it all, and Im taking the five seconds out of my life to say that.

Material Design has no place on an iOS device. Up until today, I was using version 2.3.0 which was the last version to look like something that belonged on an iPhone. Worked well too. Now I have to stare at a garish green bar that consumes half of my screen and serves no purpose whatsoever. If only I could convince everyone in my family to use iPhones, then I could ditch this silly, fisher-price looking app.
